A.I. duPont's Kim Rusk prepares to pole vault at the 2002 Christiana Relays Kim just started pole vaulting three weeks ago.
Kim set her school record with a vault of 9'0" just this week. Here Kim is trying to clear 9'8" which would be a new state record.
The hard part is over now. The bar stays up and therefore she sets a pending state record. 
The smile is the real evidence that there is a new state record ready for the books. Newark's Louis Broyles won the long jump.
The Christiana Vault Squad lives. Christiana's Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of LaTysse McKenzie, Leia Harris, Natascha Green, and Reava Potter, the winners.
