Bears fall to Falcons in Messiah Invitational championship game, 69-45

GRANTHAM, Pa. – Eli Cook (Hockessin, DE/Wilmington Christian) recorded a game-high 18 points to lead Messiah over Ursinus 69-45 in the championship game of the Falcon Invitational in Grantham on Saturday afternoon.

Lauren Schurr tallied 14 points to help the Falcons (2-0) build a 32-19 lead en route to the championship.

Sarah Hennessey (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert’s) led the Bears (1-1) with 17 points, while

Mary Kate Daley (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert’s) posted 11 points. Molly Guntli (Dallas, PA/Bishop O'Reilly) was the third highest scorer for Ursinus, putting up eight points.

The Bears return to action on Tuesday at Swarthmore. Game time is 6 p.m.
