Laura McIlvain made a defensive save as Shippensburg captured its first PSAC championship. Alex Albright assisted on the Camels’ game-winner against Amherst. Meghan Hihn had a goal and an assist and Katlin Harker made seven saves as the Red Devils routed the Fords 6-1. Brittany Croll scored and Jessica Senior assisted as Franklin & Marshall advanced to the Centennial Conference playoffs with a 4-1 win over Swarthmore. Whitney Plaster scored the GW and two others for Gordon in a win over Framingham. She then added two assists as the Fighting Scots advanced to the conference semifinals. Andrea Fleming had a goal (her 21st) and an assist and Lindsay Wheatley and Dawn McGaha added assists as Lynchburg won their 12th consecutive game and advanced to the ODAC semis with a 4-0 win over Roanoke. McDaniel had a 3-0 week with Dani Unflat contributing two goals and three assists. Jenna Schwind added two goals and two assists to her ledger this week for Messiah. Brittany Elliot had four and Tracey Lloyd one, as former Wildcats accounted for 5 of the 7 goals in the Gulls’ 7-1 win at Mary Washington. Jacqui Healy finished the season with 148 saves for the Mustangs. Kate Lester was honored as the ODAC Player of the Week and named to the womensfieldhockey.com honor Roll for the week ending October 24. Alex Pfeiffer recorded her second defensive save of the season in Wesleyan’s 2-0 win over Tufts. Nikki Bosso scored her third goal of the season in the Pioneers’ 3-1 win over Albright. Carly Falgowski claimed the game’s only assist in the Tribe’s 4-0 win over Towson. Jane Sackovich assisted on Harvard’s goal but Dartmouth spoiled Senior Day, as the Crimson dropped their third straight 2-1 contest. Jessica Cowperthwait recorded six saves as Hofstra secured the CAA’s third seed with a 3-1 defeat of James Madison. Meredith Brown assisted on IU’s first goal but it wasn’t enough as the Hoosiers fell to Penn State in OT, 4-3. Michelle Huynh-Ba’s 12th and 13th goals of the season helped her Spartans upset Ohio State 3-2. Paige Schmidt celebrated Senior Day at Princeton with a hat trick. Seniors Hillary Schmidt and Maren Frod will leave Old Nassau with three Ivy League titles in their four years. Jess Zutz scored from Julia Drewes and assisted on a second Stanford strike but it wasn’t enough as the Cardinal fell to archrival Cal 3-2 in OT. Jackie Ciconte’s 15th of the season was the GW as her Terps handed AU their first defeat. Whitney Wells’ second hat trick of the season earned her A-10 Co-Player of the Week honors. Six Delawareans were named to the NFHCS North/South Senior All Star Games: Maren Ford to the D1 game and Brittany Croll, Brittany Elliott, Andrea Fleming, Lindsay Williams and Caitlin Meara to the D3 game. Casey Howard collected her seventh goal of the season and Amanda Warrington recorded an assist as the Hens ended their season with a W, 3-0 over LaSalle.
