Dover, DE --- Monique Washington had 12 kills and four service aces to lead
Delaware State to a 3-0 victory over Lincoln (PA) in college volleyball Tuesday.
Caesar Rodney High School product Cherise Franklin had seven kills and Shanina
Harris added six for the Lady Hornets, who improve to 2-2 on the season. Lincoln
falls to 0-3. Delaware State took the first game 15-0 behind Washington's three
kills and three aces by Nickalina Davis. In the second game, the Lady Hornets
rebounded from 9-6 and 14-12 deficits to earn a 16-14 victory. Washington had
six kills and three aces in the second game. Delaware State won the third game
15-12. The Lady Hornets return to action Friday at the Virginia Commonwealth
Tournament in Richmond, VA.
