Diamond
State Games
The
Diamond State Games, scheduled for June 20-22, 2003, is accepting
applications for a women's open adult field hockey division
limited to the first 32 teams that successfully apply for our event.
The Diamond State Games differs from other "State Games" in
that it is open to athletes without residency restrictions. The first
DSG, in 2001, attracted 2000 athletes from 15 states and 4 countries in
seven different events.
This year the Diamond State Games have added two divisions of field
hockey, the adult division, and a high school division. We are actually
still searching for four high school teams that would challenge the four
Delaware teams that we are drafting and piecing together from the best
high school players in the state. We are very excited about this
competition as are the players who are already beginning to gather for
it.
